Moonveil is a Black African-owned and queer game studio created by an eccentric, geek ADHD Black woman with obsessive love for fantasy, fluff, and dark romance visual novels. This place is a bit lonely for now, but our pinky toe told us we'll find new members soon (hopefully 'v')
The studio was born from an incredibly factual conviction: that Black women deserve to see themselves at the center of stories they love. Not as background, not as extra or Disposable Black Romance Interest, but as the full, rich, layered, powerful protagonists of their own worlds and narratives!
We want to make games inspired by mythology, stories told by Griots, Afro-fantasy fictions… And whatever else the drafty mind of our creator and writer cooks up next, which, knowing her, could genuinely be anything.
Stay hydrated kiddos.
You are an artist, developer or just a very passionate person wanting to join our little indie studio? Send us an email at contact@moonveil-studio.com with your resume, portfolio or any relevant work alongside your artsy or gaming socials. Promise Cookie-dough don’t bite after 9:am
HERE COME OUR ECCENTRIC GURU
Hello, pookie! Glad you make it there (ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ꕤ.゚ I'm Cookie-dough (also known as Dealore, Bamboou, Andeva — well, it depends on my active obsession and hobby), the creator of Moonveil Studio.
As you might have definitely understood, my ADHD and creative brain feed me too much fixations at once — indeed, I'm a writer (Fanfiction and Poetry) and gamer who loves baking, painting, singing, DIY-ing, and doing witchcraft (since that's how people love to call herbalist and incense lovers… I might do spells during full moon too…).
I started writing on Wattpad when I was 14 (under the name of Bamboou ) and wrote my first collection of poems (unpublished, under the name of Andeva Verdago) when I was in my mid-twenties .
Fun facts about me
The first otome game I played was Seven Hotties, All My Husbands, my favorite was Celis Valentine.
I'm a huge fan of big fluffy plushies, and my favorite color is pink.
I love Ivorian and South Asian food.
